Contract Administrator

Moncrief Construction Limited (MCL) is a general contractor specializing in power and communications line construction, industrial electrical work, heavy civil construction, and aggregate production.
 
Based out of Kenora, Ontario and operating primarily in Northwestern Ontario and Manitoba, MCL has completed projects across Canada. Our civil division builds roads, bridges, causeways, lagoons, pipelines, and dams. Our electrical and powerlines divisions construct substations and remote transmission lines, and light the communities and airports of the North. Our aggregate division drills, blasts, and crushes Canadian Shield rock for the roads and industry of the region. Our transportation, mechanical, and administrative personnel provide support to our crews and equipment. MCL’s satellite construction yards and properties throughout the region provide ideal staging grounds for our wide range of projects.
 
Moncrief Construction is looking for an experienced Construction Contract Administrator to join our team!
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare contract and tender documents
- Respond to emails to address client's concerns and project issues.
- Proactively identify issues, and follow- up on actions required.
- Establish work priorities and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met
- Work closely with Clients, Vendors, Sub-trades and Site Foreman to coordinate schedules, communicate project progress, assisting with documents and processes
- Negotiates terms, conditions and pricing, and ensure they are accurately executed and satisfied
- Coordinate the execution of key legal documents
- Analyzes contracts to ensure compliance to company policy, government specifications and other requirements
- Provide comprehensive review of key legal documents during the bid stage
- Assisting in securing new work by participating in estimates, working with subcontractors and/or participating in proposals
- Applying for over-dimensional vehicle permits
- Licensing CVOR vehicles
 
SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS:
- Must have experience in accounting and book keeping
- Must have experience reading contract documents
- Must be able to read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Ability to evaluate assignments, determine procedures and implement solutions, schedule work to meet objectives, participate in short- and long term planning
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to resolve issues in a timely manner
- Must have excessive experience working on Microsoft Excel
 
Job Type: Permanent
 
Salary: $70,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
